OUR MARCHING BAND
The Marching Band is the core group of Mullingar Town Band
The Marching Band stands as the vibrant heartbeat of Mullingar Town Band. Known for their high energy and dedication, this ensemble is a staple of the Midlands’ cultural scene, famously appearing in up to five parades in a single day every St. Patrick’s Day.
Beyond traditional parades, the band is a versatile performer at major festivals and outdoor recitals, with past highlights including the Festival of Fires (Uisneach) and Electric Picnic.
Competition & Excellence
When they hit the competition field, the group takes on the identity of the Celtic Crusaders. Competing annually in IMBA/DCE showband competitions, the band pushes the boundaries of pageantry by designing and performing intricate, choreographed marching field shows.
In 2017, the Celtic Crusaders reached a historic milestone by being crowned All-Ireland Champions for the first time—a testament to the skill, discipline, and passion of our members.
